MISS GEORGIA WINS MISS AMERICA 2016
Miss Georgia Betty Cantrell was crowned the new Miss America during the pageant on Sunday, Sept. 13 in Atlantic City, N.J. See her crowning moment, other contestants, plus the return of Miss America 1984 Vanessa Williams, who returned to the pageant as head judge after she had relinquished her title more than 30 years ago following a nude photo scandal.
